I have a project going right now and i need a 8.8 posi for my 95 4cyl manual truck. I found one from an 88 ranger will i be able to basically bolt it in? :dntknw:

if its from an 88, its probably not an 8.8, its more likely a 7.5 and it wont be as wide as your axle. i do believe it will bolt in though. it will not have provisions for abs.

find something from a 93-08 so it will be the correct width and bolt right in.

go on craigslist in your area and put in ford explorer parts.

The Explorer axle won't bolt in though.

Unless you'll be running tires bigger than 33s, the Ranger 8.8 should be fine (and it bolts in).
