Just put in a rebuilt transmission in my 92 ranger. It shifts through all gears fine except when I shift into fourth it will grind a little before it goes in. I can't think of anything to fix this so I'm guessing it's internal. What do you think? M5R1 transmission.

where'd you get it?

Also (being understanding about tranny overhauls in general) have you
gotten ALL the air out of the clutch?

did you replace (or atleast lube) the pilot bearing?

I bled the clutch and it still didn't change. Every gear shifts fine, not even a hint of a grind going into any gears except fourth. I did lube the pilot bearing also. I guess I wouldn't say it's completely rebuilt. New input shaft assembly, cluster gear, input shaft bearing, front countershaft bearing, some others I can't think of. Basically I didn't do anything with the mainshaft assembly. Just replaced a couple bearings that had went bad. I didn't see anything wrong with the synchros. There's was a very small amount of play in the input shaft that I didn't know how to get rid of. I'm guessing that may be where my problem is.
