Well, you asked and didn't specify cost.:haha: Most new kits for anything cost that much, or in the neighborhood. I see them on rare occasion on e-bay. :) shady

Yeah... Like Shady said, good luck finding a kit for really ANYTHING for less than at least 3k. But, when you compare the returns of a blower/turbo setup to the cost of building a mod motor, the horsepower per dollar return works out to a VERY similar figure. So, just depends on what you really want to pay for the power.

The Paxton kit that Ford Motorsport offered for the '93-94 4.0 was only $1500-ish.

What I'd really like to do with my 4.0 is build a small "dry" Nitrous
system that gives a 35-40hp boost but provide that system with
a 40lb bottle of nitrous...

I've got a 120lb bottle (full) but it's a bit big to mount in my truck.

What I want it for is "just a little more" when I'm accelerating onto a freeway
dragging a loaded trailer and such.

Particularly at altitude.

IF you want a Supercoupe blower I have TWO of them along with
a 3.8 SC intake manifold AND an intercooler.

Make me an offer.

But I'll tell you it won't do much without fabricating an intake to connectthe blower to the engine.

There is a fabricated intake to put a supercoupe Eaton blower onto
a 4.0SOHC, but....

Don't buy that the systems you can search for through that link actually are made for the 4.0 OHV. T. Knight makes some REALLY big bs claims about the systems he makes especially when it comes to power ratings. If you search around on some of the other Ranger and Ford forums you will be able to see some of the firsthand horror stories.

About the only place that made a roots supercharger for the 4.0 OHV was BBK who offered the M62 roots kit, but that was about 8 years ago.

Allan, why would you want to do a dry nitrous system versus a wet? How do you plan to dial your AFR's back in with the shot?
