iv got everything unhooked from my dana 28 im takin out except for the front drive shaft. i cant get the bolts that hold the u joint in out of there. theres four of em they hold the u joint strap piece on. an what about the back of the front shaft towards the transfercase there is no bolts just u joint is it some kinda slip deal that will just pull out of the t case?
 
yeah the driveshaft will come apart at the slip yoke. Just pull the two pieces apart
 
You try a little heat on the bolts? (Ford used Loctite on them)
 
Are you trying to take them apart with a 7/16" socket (which won't work, insufficient clearance) or a T-30 Torx?

Get a craftsman Torx bit, I broke a couple...
 
yea i used a torx it came off easy with lots of blaster an yeah my drive shaft doesnt just pull out lol it moves in and out but wont pull out!
 
You have to work the rubber boot loose. It is a press fit over the end of the t-case. I always pried behind it with a screwdriver.
