Died in the wool Bow Tie guy here! Own/have owned 05 Tahoe, 96 Impala SS, 98 Silverado, 69 Impala, etc.

At age 42 got my first Ford... a 2003 Ranger XL w/ 2.3 l4. Great little truck and so far is getting GREAT mpg; which is why I got her!

All my Blue Oval buddies at work are giving me h3ll for finally buying a "real" truck...

About me; former soldier, cop for 20 years & currently a detective; certified gun nut; LE firearms instructor. Did I say I'm a Chevy guy? :black_eye:

Nothing wrong with being a Bow Tie guy. I've owned lots of different brands over my 45 years & found them all to be equally good & crappy :D
When something breaks on the new to you Ranger, you should be able to get any needed help from the folks here.

Oh, thanks for helping to keep the peace as a Soldier, LEO, & Detective :icon_thumby:

By the way, I catch some razzing at work (a GM Dealer) for driving my Blue Oval..........it's all in fun.

Thanks Thumper, it’s been my honor to serve my country and community. After 20 years on the job, I still get jazzed at the idea of running down leads, collecting evidence and showing the suspect it's useless to deny the obvious. Nothing like getting the bad guy to roll and provide a sworn statement! :haha:

My work ride is an unmarked 04 Explorer. Except the usual problems with that damned sealed transmission, she's been pretty reliable. :3gears:

Yeah, I joined TRS, so I can tap the collective when I DIY the truck.
