a local guy has some stuff for sale... which if any of these should I consider?
Will the lift fit a 91 super cab ranger 4x4?
Any opinions on the leaf springs?
I want to run 31-32" tires and yes the front end sits low so right away the leveling spacers caught my attention.
Oh and how well do the OEM manual hubs work?
I am considering a tuff country or skyjacker 4" lift if I dont buy this one. But it would be nice to get a good deal on a low budget lift. Let me know what you think please and thanks. Or maybe you wanna sell me yours.

damn i wish i had some money......id get that 8.8 lol

I am wondering if the leveling spacers would be necessary with any or all of these lifts (skyjacker, trailmaster, tuff country) to bring the front end up and even with the back?

Get everything but the spacers, if you need to fine tune your front like that do it at the bottom of the spring, with washers. That is a good deal. The hassle of building that spring pack is worth ~$80 alone, lol. I didn't stay any where near that cheap and I built my own brackets and rad arms (which broke, lol.)

did some reading and I wont be going with the trailmaster lift this guy is selling. and was curious if the tuff country 4" lift has the drop bracket problem that punches holes in the diff. Has anyone purchased one? Liked/disliked it?

Oh hit up denver craigslist if you are in the area. He has all kinds of ranger/sploder stuff 4sale. I bought my tonneau cover from him no problems.

Tuff Country, Ruff Country, TrailMaster, and BDS lifts for the TTB all have the drop plate. The Skyjacker, Superlift, and James Duff lifts are the only ones who now use a completely new drop bracket for the passanger side beam.

Hey thanks man. That clears things up enough for me. I am going to go Skyjacker all the way. Do they give a choice in the 4" lift? (blocks or add-a-leafs) and what would be best. I replaced my leafs about a year ago. I would just take out the stock block and swap in the one from the lift to maintain its current ride, right?

Tuff Country does not use a drop plate.

Trailmaster also never made a 6" RBV lift that I can recall either, probably a Skyjacker or BDS lift if it's a 6".

Also, Supercab trucks usually will benefit from coilspacers with most lifts due to their weight. I'd use metal ones though (or washers), not the Daystar (poly) ones)

Could also be a Superlift kit Junkie; they used the drop plate when they first came out.

Yeah I remembered seeing in his garage. The rad arms were rancho so that may be the manufacturer. Said he got it cheap at the junkyard, along with that 8.8

Superlift's kit is 5.5", although some do mistake it for 6".

Yeah I just bought a tuff country 4 in lift kit and it comes with full blown drop brackets, that in IMHO look pretty heavy duty................

Hi, everybody,
I am the local guy in question, so just wanted to clear up a couple things:
Hi, Crawlin91, Yeah, I remember you, hows that cover working out? Good I hope....
The 8.8 listed WAS out of my 91, did an explorer conversion, but that is sold, sorry Paleblue.............
The lift listed, Crawlin, was NOT the Rancho one you saw, thats on my truck now,....
And yeah, there is ALOT of haze about this lift, so here is the straight skinny,

I don't really KNOW exactly what kinda lift it really is, I BELIEVE it to be a Trailmaster, cuz the Pitman arm and shocks on the donor vehicle (pull'n'save) said so, but.....
I'll defer to other, more knowledable folk on that,.....

But, what I can tell you that it is NOT a drop plate on the passenger arm, it is a real DROP BRACKET,bolts onto the FRONT side of the crossmember (unlike stock, and my Rancho, which are both on the backside), and it looks pretty well built to me, 1/4 inch plate, (not 3/16 like stock or Rancho) good welds, not homemade, and it has the 2 sets of holes, I believe for either 4 or 6 inch lift, along with drop plates for the (stock) radius arms, the only reason I'm selling it is because I already had the body lift on mine, so 3 1/2 inches is all I can lift and still build my roof rack and get it into the garage,.....
And like Dishtowel said, the springpack looks like a Bastardized Ranger/Explorer pack, 7 leafs, someone built it, I took it off the same 6" lifted truck.......Probly wudn't need any blocks (except you need snubbers....)
But no, I wudn't suggest using the Daystar things with this, you wudn't need 'em, they were bought for another truck as a seperate simple lift, this kit includes everything you need, (except brake lines) cuz I WAS planning to put it on mine, till I found this other,
So, if anyone (local)is interested, (sorry all, don't wanna hassle shipping) the price is good, PM me and take a look at it, I really don't think you can go wrong.....

Sorry for the long post.......

its ok about the 8.8 my 7.5 is holding just fine:D me,u and crawlin 91 should all go wheelin sometime lol
