5 speed upgrades

I have a 93 3.0 5 spd 4x4, and my trans locked up. I would like to do a full rebuild, gears and all. Where can I get this and is there any upgrades, for gearing, or longevity?

Grab $2000 or so and buy another truck. Rebuilding a transmission like that will cost more.

If you really want to rebuild it, you replace what's broken. Not everything in sight.

I have a '90 with a 5-speed Mazda trans and just rebuilt it. If the '93 is the same, there is an upgrade kit for 5'th/reverse. It has 30 teeth instead of 36 on the slider/sychros. Basically you get all new gears in the back of the tranny and new sychros and shift fork. I got that kit for $80 and a rebuild kit which had all new bearings and seals and synchros for under $200. Visit EBAY stores and look around. There are kits there with new input shafts, countershafts, etc. to replace whatever you f'd up. You should be able to rebuild it without spending too much.
