1997 ranger xlt ext cab 4x4.................help?

i need new front axle shafts, atleast, i think i do. but im not sure if i have 28 or 31 slpined axles. plz help. if at all possible, i dont want to pull diff. cover off, its my only vehicle rightnow.

what makes you think you need axleshafts?i don't know the spline count but only one size will fit your d-35.

D35 axleshafts are 27 spline.
