Hey fellas, i was at a scrapyard this saturday and could have scored bucket seats and center consoles from about 4 different exploders and broncos.. I did bc i wasnt sure if they were the same thing ford stuck in the rangers.. (floor pans seemed to be different) are all the consoles the same? If not, which cars should i target as donors for my 94 ranger??

umm probably 88-94 (they had the boxy jurassic park front end, similar to pre 93 rangers) The consoles looked exactly like the one that could have been ordered with my ranger, but im not so sure that the height of it is the same..

they should bolt in...i know the full length console from explorers will bolt in, the shorter ones i am not 100% on, but i think they will work.

so there isnt a difference between a stock center console from an explorer or a ranger? crap i just missed out then..

most rangers didnt come with them, but the interiors were reused from the explorer to the ranger as far as i remember...

yeah, thats the impression i got after peering into a couple exploaders, but the floor pans appeared to be slightly taller than the rangers so i looked the other way... Hopefully that stuff will still b there this saturday bc ill grab the bucket seats n center console and ill b set.

I swapped in gen 1 explorer seats and console with power everything into my 86 ranger xtra-cab. It bolted in exactly, though idk if your gen 3 ranger is the same.http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/images/smilies/trs_smilies_signs/bling.gif

The floor pan is a slightly different profile in various year rangers and explorers.

As a note the '91-92 Explorer sport seat tracks will bolt directly into an '86-92 supercab

Consoles? the console is the same but the magnesium bracket inside it
is different for the standard cabs.

Explorer (both 2dr and 4dr) Bronco2 and Ranger Supercab all use the
same mounting bracket armrest mounting bracket and (plastic) front bracket.

the Standard cab ranger can use any of three distinctly different (and non interchangeable) armrest mounting brackets and usually just use a pair of
spacers to mount the front of the console to the floor, however due to floor pan
changes these vary in length.
