power door lock stuck in lock position

well the title says it all... ok not really but close...

passenger door stuck in the lock position and cannot open using key, inside handle or pliers any ideas

sounds like the catch mechanism is rusted and jammed. try to get inside the door and soak the thing with a good penetrant for a couple of days.

It sucks to have that happen because you need the door open before replacing the defective lock.

since the door is shut and locked I can't get inside. there is no rust the motor froze up... because maybe a month before this it kept locking constantly... 24hrs 7days well you get the idea! I guess my only real option is to tear out the interior panel...

so any one? I tried a pair of pliers and broke the plastic piece off...
