i have a few tire questions, not ranger specific, just tires in general.
first, i have 2 tires that are mounted on wheels, and they leak at the bead. they were on a truck in my yard that wasnt running and they eventually leaked all the air out. since that point, they have started leaking a lot. they can empty themselves in a few hours. they have sat empty with weight on them for a couple months. are they worth trying to have sealed and start using again or are they pretty much junk?
second, i got a tire for free from an unknown vehicle. it fits my truck, and i had it mounted and balanced. does it matter if it goes on the opposite side of my truck compared to the truck it came off of? (it would be spinning backward compared to what it originally was. i have heard bands can move and shift under these circumstances.)
third, in regards to the same tire in my second question. after i had it mounted and balanced, it leaked at the bead, right away, so i took it back. he dismounted one side, cleaned it, sealed it and reseated it. it doesnt leak anymore. he never balanced it after that, but he never completely dismounted it. it should still be in balance, right?
