I don't see anything wrong with jacking up a 2WD.

I did it to mine and have had a tonne of fun with it so far.

Okay, guys. I'm no expert or nothing, but here's my experience.

I had my 2WD Ranger for a couple of years, and some buddies got me into big, jacked-up trucks. I didn't have the money to buy another truck AND jack it up, so I did it to my little 2.3L 2WD Ranger.

Anyways, as the story goes, I put 33" tires on it, with the SkyJacker 6" lift. To tell you the truth, my truck didn't do that well on gas stock (believe me, I'm a gas Nazi). So I said, "fawk it," and decided to have some fun with it. I have since gotten a better DD, so this isn't a concern.

BUT, I will say that since I started working on the truck, I have had nothing but fun with it. If you jack it up a little and throw a locker in the back, you can have just as much fun as the 4x4 guys (oh, look into a winch just in case.)

If you want pictures, here are a few:

i finished one side today gonna do the other tomorrow..should be completely done tomorrow:icon_welder::icon_hornsup:

a locker locks the rear axle so u get full power to both tires.unlock a regular open diffrential where one tire may get more power then the other.
