axle oil help

will it hurt anything if i put 80/90w with limited slip oil in my front dana 35 and 8.8 rear axle that does not have limited slip? i have a five gallon pail of the oil that already has limited slip addidive in it and i just want to make sure that it wont matter, i dont think it does, but you guys know better then i do.

cool shit man, ya gearlube generally is gear lube when it comes to ur diffs, and since ull have it on the free cahnge it when ever it gets milky from wheelin :P

hell yea man, we have both non ls and ls oil but my friends have ls so i figure just take the stuff that everyone can use lol
 
that stuff is expensive,your boss probably won't be happy if you take enough for "everyone to use"

we get it for 49 a pail because we buy it all the time, but my boss takes way more then i do
 
Just remember if your truck still has autolocking front hubs you need 75W90 GL5 in the front.
 
This is news to me.....why exactly do you figure that?
 
x2, as far as i knew(which is quiet a bit) gearlube had NOTHING todo with the front hubs.......
 
oil dont even go near the auto hubs, why would that make a difference, i have manual hubs, but please tell me what gear oil does for auto hubs
