Help with FOB

Both of my key fobs stopped working on 96 ranger. Anyone know where the receiver is located? Also what is the procedure for programming a remote? If there are already 4 programmed, how can you clear those out?

just went through this....when you reprogram it will clear all of the prior programming so it is necessary to have all of the FOBs present when you reprogram...it took several hours of searching the net to find the procedure for my lumina, wich was worth since the dealership wanted $85 to reprogram two key FOBs, i think it was automoitivetech.com wich had a good composition of procedures for different vehicles in their forums.
