So I am thinking that I wanna do a conversion to a SAS on a ranger....I have a 92 4x4 supercab, so i am debating this, but now that I am looking at a 94 2wd supercab for really cheap and since i want a D44 from a 78-79 F-150 and narrow it, I have never seen a 2wd front end that well....can I use the radius arm hookups and since it is a straight axle the coils and stuff should work just like a 4wd front end??? I mean I have to weld on the trackbar anyway sooooooo should be just as easy to put that in a 2wd as a 4wd?? of course the rear suspension will be changed...crossmembers and stuff should the same setup?

Thanks!!!

a 2wd ranger is the ideal place to start a solid axle swap, the only thing u would have to change is from a 2wd trans to a 4wd trans w/ t-case, and then get driveshafts to match. in that supercab, is it a 4.0 in it, just wanna make sure u got a 8.8 in the back of that one...

oh yeah...it is a 8.8 with D35 in it! :) that's what I am thinking would be the basis for my SAS....so that a 2wd will work...sweetness! I am going to see about picking up this truck then...cause that would simplify things immensely...now to find that D44 :icon_welder:
