I got a bunch of family 2-way radios so the kids can report in when they are out in the woods. I'm setting up my scanner to moniter the channels. No problem, but the channels I found listed on wikipedia don't jive with what I'm seeing here. Anyone have any experience with this? I'll post a list of what my scanner thinks the freqs are when my oldest so gets done figuring them all out.

Edit: Here's what we've found. They don't follow any order.

well, being that you're setting up a scanner, could you not set the scanner to scan that band (i'm sure the 153.xxx MHz is a misprint, BTW) while your FRS' PTT key is pressed -- possibly TXing canned music or something so you'll KNOW when you hit it...?

might take longer, but it oughta work.

the 422.xx is probably also a typo.

It's also important to differentiate FRS radios from GMRS radios because these two types of radio share the same set of frequencies but there is a big difference in allowed power, the use of "Repeater" systems (automated relays) etc...
