how do you take out the stock door pins?

Grind off the head and punch them out.

The replacements you buy have an "E" clip on them.

by e clip do you mean a clever pin hole?

No, I mean a clip shaped like a really stretched out E that fits in a machined groove on the new pin.

At least they are like that on the "Help" brand replacement stuff from O'reilly's.

some times on the stock pin, there is a tiny hole. drill out that hole and it will break the pin! this is only sometimes though! it can be hard to grind out that pin with the door still on, a dremmel helps sometimes.

Glad I found this. I have been wondering also!

ya, thanks a lot i went and bought the aftermarket door pins that have a hole for a clever pin and then i got home and took a look at the door pin hit witha a flathead a few times and then i was like what the hell ill just post it in the ranger station. and it worked.

oh and do i have to take the doors off by the bolts before i drill that pin out?

it's easier that way but BEFORE you loosen anything up, mark your door hinges so that you can put them back without too much of a PITA in re-adjustment, i find that a number two carpenters pencil works good and not bad for wipe off afterjust make sure you blow excess residue off before you remove door so that it don't smear
