Dana 35 Axle Lock Clip

Stupid me i took out the axle lock clip out of my 1991 explorer front axle to relase the inner right axle and threw the clip away. I was wondering where i could get this clip? any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Not stupid at all, that's the best thing to do with the e-clip. By using another method to hold the stub in place you will be able to change the u-joint without pulling the pig from the beam. There should be an article about e-clip eliminater in the tech library. I used a different method on mine but I will not post it until I have more test time on it.

You just need to go to a auto motive machine shop and get a valve spring(off of a 4cyl. preferably, one that they replaced) and put it between the short shaft and the long shaft. Works like a charm and you can pop that puppy out without pulling the whole 3rd member. If the tension is too much just cut the spring a little bit.
