So I see theres some interest here for a Meet.. Well Im just gonna throw this idea out.. I know Im in western Ma and its close for me but I was thinkin Meeting at the Basketball hall of fame in Springfield ma.. I figure its a central Location for most of New England and even some New yorkers and its a big lit up parking lot in a nice section of town.. So I was thinkin this

The question is, do we want a wheeling trip or a meet? I know I want to wheel. I also know that theres no good wheeling around my area. So probably some where in western MA cause I know that theres good stuff there and its fairly central in NE.

I think that Compleckz and I will be planning a meet for sometime this summer. We are still working on very basic stuff but there will be an S10 and a couple jeeps there too. It will be completely open. No restrictions on brands of vehicles. Just on vehicle capabilities.

Wooosta area..... Lets do it in like a month.. since theres a big meet in Albany in the end of august I do hope alot of you guys will spring out to go!! We can always meet right near my place in Westfield.. its the last exit before the 40mile trip to Lee/Pittsfield on the pike..

The first thing that is needed is a place with some good trails. The next thing is how difficult are the trails.

Trying to get a stock 2wd truck through a trail meant for a 4x4 on 33s is probably the best way to take the fun out of the trip.

Next, you need someone local in the area to figure out where to start from.

Once you have those things, you figure out a date that works well for you and post it up. Then see who can make it.

Make it open to every one. But make it clear that some people will have to ride with others if thier truck wont be able to make it throught the trails.

Id like to get 3500 but it is very negotiable. I am putting an engine in it now. I plan on registering it and getting it inspected and driving it while I work on lifting my 97. I want to drive it for 2 weeks or so to make sure that it is reliable. (this is the first engine swap Ive ever done.)

Lets do like a sat afternoon meet at the basketball hall of fame.. like lets say 12noon.. then take pics till 130ish.. then head out to the trails which are only 20-25min away.. for a few hours.. then head back from 4-5ish and get dinner at pizzaria Uno's right at the hall of fame :) sounds good to me

You assume everyone that comes to the meet will be rocking lifted trucks. If you spread this out on rangerforums and RPS, you will likely attract lowered trucks too.

Its for the most part Stock Friendly.. it will teachu how to drive ur truck.. I take my Level2 up ther.. Granted its bigger but it walks through it.. its techincal not muddy which is nice.. if you dont wanna take it u could always ride with me or one of the other trucks.. I might get a few jeep guys to go with us.. there always fun to watch do crazy stuff lol

Did Holyoke Mnt today the entire thing.. and lets say all u need is a set of decent tires and maybe a small liftt.. But I feel with the right spotters a stock truck can do it.. theres alot of crazy stuff there and always for the most part a way around the bad stuff.. I did some of the crazy stuff today but 373's and no lockers on 35's owns my foot lol

Only truck out of that i would bring is maybe the yota... but thats it. . rest of them I really dont want up there for traction reasons... Im gonna scout out the trail tommoarw to see how bad it is.. I will keep u informed.. a stock rig should do ok though it with some spotting.. and hopefully u all coming are running a decent agressive tire... no street tires up there.. the flats are legal. i have talked to the police in longmeadow those are public town roads. you just have to stay out of the wildlife sanctuary.

i can post some pics before the weekend comes up........define "out of the sanctuary" because some of the trails lead into the woods...but there is still no signs anywhere..the "main" trail leads down to the CT river right across from Six Flags.
"trail rash" can be an issue if your not careful...and if your going to go with the windows down (the real way to wheel) then wear plenty of bugspray because the skeeters are intense. Agian its kinda of a small area to wheel, so you there from New Jersey, i dont think it would be worth it for you.
And God PLEASE BRING SOME RAIN!!!!!!! its SUPER dry up there right now.

(dont mind my friends lowrider) anyways this is what the "entrance" looks like kinda it gets more "extreme" than this trust me. thiers some decent ruts farther up and in the woods there is hills, trenches, and stuff to flex off of, then thiers always the beach but i would'nt recommend stockers to go onto it because the river is like RIGHT THERE and there is a drop right into the river. had a friend with a JEEP that "lost it" drifting on the beach and ended up in the river.

just because there arent tresspassing signs doesnt mean it isnt illegal. a hummer club cut trails up there and the owner completely closed access to the whole mountain. epo now can fine anyone up there. public trails in the area include: Old Chester Rd, Old Florida Road, RSG, and ma bell. all require 33s and a locker pretty much. flats/meadows and the mile of mud are pretty cool for the springfield area tho.

Im not going mudding just so u guys know.. everytime either of my trucks go mudding.. one gets wrecked... Mabell was done by my level2.. and I can walked up it in my 94... All u can do at mabelle now is go to the top and turn around... Old chesterrd.. no thakns haha.. Rhodes rd in Westhampton is fun.. huntington rd is my best best I feel.. its a old stage road from huntington to blandford.. its prolly a hour of wheelin and its not crazy but its got a couple techincal spots... What is RSG? i think ive been up there.. my Vac hubs on my 98 gave out on that and I have to damage my truck tog et out of there..

I know its in Mass but i map-quested it and like 8 different Huntington Rd.'s showed up LOL
