whats the difference between the 8.8 28 spline out of a 01 ranger and an 8.8 28 spline out of a 2002. both open diff. the reason im asking is becuase i wanna get a lockrite but every on ive found says its for 2001 and older?

They are exactly the same
 
thats what i thought but i dont know why lock rite would not include 2002 in its specs.
 
Failure to update it?

I'm not aware of any differences.
 
the axles are identical, they probably have not updated their applications page since '01.
 
ok cool thanks alot i figured so but i just wanted to double check
 
ive got a 28 spline no-slip for sale. 350 plus shipping which is the price of a new lockrite. The no-slip is a step up from the lockrite
