Putting offer on this house this week


It has all the upgraded options. Lists for $138,900, it was a sheriff's sale and it is now listed at $107,000. I plan to make an offer of 90,000, expceting them to counter offer.

I looked it up and the bank paid $80K for it in Feb.

Nice lookin house. Something like that with less land near me would go for more like $600K.
 
We have looked at a TON of houses. This one has no basement, which sucks, and not a lot of yard...but...It is a 2006 model house. It is less than 2 years old. All it needs is paint and carpet in one room.

I figured the Super Duty can park on the left side of the driveway with the ATV on the trailer in the garage behind it, Heather can put her Ranger in the other side of the garage and my B2 can park next to the SD in the driveway.

Also, the same home in the same subdivision is selling for $132,000. So if we get it for what were offering we have an instant 30K in equity.
 
looks nice .. the houses there are a l'il close together it seems...
anyway what am i saying? lol ... here you can't buy a closet for 90k...
don't forget in the first years of a mortgage your payments are mostly interest so are tax deductable. so you need to calculate that....

A buddy of mine here just bought a double wide for about $178 000. Compared to houses here thats robbery. The house I'm in now is 27 years old, and if sold now, it would fetch about $750 000. Good luck on the house.

Haha, +1 on that. It sucks for people trying to buy, but thats the pacific northwest for ya.
