so i got a lead on a 92 exploder motor with 68K on a rebuild with a comp harness that runs. my 89 ranger has a 2.9 with 250K on it...will my current tranny bolt up to it? if it will ill drive the 6 hours to get it. the guy said i could have it if i come yank it out for free! lol:icon_hornsup::icon_welder:
 
yes your current trans will bolt up to it, however it isnt built to handle the torque so u may want to upgrade it down the road, oh and make sure to buy the 4.0 clutch pressure plate and flywheel that u will need, grab the starter aswell if he will let u have it
