Sure can Smokey even had his own matches out they were sold in the camping supplies parts of stores. I colect smokey stuff and have matches and lighters with smokey on them.

Get a MAPP/oxy outfit and you can do some damage.

they claim you need a special head for mapp. it burns hotter, so if you damage your torch, it aint my fault. as long as youre paying attention though, you shouldnt have any issues. i use my propane torch for mapp all the time.

almost as good as acetylene but you have to go over twice the whole line you are going to cut and acetylene you only have to preheat the edge.
and most cutting outfits also for acetylene also come with ace/oxy welding outfit also.

i don't even use propane at this point - it's mapp or bust.
i use it for everything from loosening bolts, to bruleeing things, and searing tuna steaks

With a big Oxy/propane setup you can use it just like the oxy/acetylene. We have a 100# tank and use it for alot of cutting. Just not as hot as acetylene but it is cheaper to run.

yes they are the same. i only have one head (I'm a cheep bastard) that i swap cylinders with

I bought some electrodes that are for cutting steel. I haven't tried them yet.
