i have a 4x4 B2, and instead of lifting it, i want to lower it , i heard rumors that you can use mustang 2 IFS for the front, or ranger 2wd front suspension, and just simply lower the rear with lowering brackets or something... is this rumor true?

ive seen people lower 4wd rangers....but lowerin a 4wd bII is new to me, id imagine u could make custom raised brackets for the front suspension, aside from that no way to really do it unless u convert the front to 2wd...

or if you can what about a month i would sell you the 2wd brackets and beams after i make mine 4wd and lift it i would give you a hell of a deal

a mustang ii front will bolt to just about anything, but a lot of work for your truck! and you would have to scrap the 4x4, and all of your current front suspension. (not worth it)in my opinion.

Its been done (dropping a BII) A guy on the old forum did it. I suppose if you put in I beams you can put in dream beams and flip the rear shackle.

i think he is wanting to keep it 4wd though, which is why i suggested making new brackets of some sort.....

id actually like to see someone do it with a 4x4 ranger, would be cool to ahve a small block lowered 4wd ranger

very cool, but somewhat pointless.:dntknw:

You're going to have clearance issues with the 4WD axle and the frame. The only practical way I see to do it is to use 2WD I-beams.

thanx for the replies everyone, i dont necassarily need to keep it 4x4 because im going to be living in sacramento california for the next couple of years, and 4wd isnt that important there, cuz they never get snow LOL

and i think it will be really differant, because around here you dont see much b2's to begin with, so a lowered one will be sweet!

and if i need another one for 4x4, i have a buddy with one, so im set LOL

you rarely see b2's anywhere any more, like a lost art. quite a few fixer uppers in the local junk yard though, too bad they cant be titled.

If I lived in California I would want a 4x4. There is a lot of serious four wheeling there. Much more than here.

THIS IS NOT MY TRUCK**

just a picture of a b2, this is just a very crappily done photochop of what i want to do to my b2...

(i didnt take too much time editing this)

i know sounds crazy... *read please*

just to give you all a basic idea of whats going on in my head...

ya, at the moment i live in an area where there is TONS of 4x4ing... but when i live in sacramento (where its pretty much flat everywhere LOL) id rather have a lowered one, but someday i am going to have a rigged out b2... or ranger...:icon_twisted:

I have the basic idea of what you want to do but, I still have no idea what is going on inside your head! LOL!!!
