We're building a big camping area up in the woods on the top of the hill. Been hauling big rocks and loads of gravel up there. Cutting across the hill I didn't realize how much this rain over the winter had carved this gully. Opps. Then my frigging come-along broke and I had to weld it--back down. When I got it over it wouldn't start. Fortunately I had a new filter, which I keep handy because of past experience with flopping. And then my battery died so I had to hump the 60# generator up the hill. And it was at a wicked angle and not enough gas with the tank at 40 degrees so I had to hump a 40# gas can up the hill. I think it took about 20 hikes before I got it started and could drive it down. Lesson is, most accidents occur at home. And never drive across your back yard alone.

x2...I think my truck has seen more damage in my own back yard than it has anywhere else. At least it sounds like there wasn't too much damage done.

actually, my worse stucks and breaks have been in my backyard. popped coil, two stucks up to the frame, multiple broken shafts... no flops, though this one was close ;missingteeth;

Yeah, I'm glad it didn't keep going. That hill is extremely steep.

I've been on that door a few times so it didn't do anything new. The only thing I was worried about was breaking the windshield. It didn't. And my headlight that was ziptied in is missing in action.

This was the next Wellsville trip. Sam and I drove it 400miles, flopped it, drove it 400 miles home trailing a stream of broken parts. 70mph with the cruise set and floppy Jeep springs. No worries.

that's your illustrious administrator, Ryan walking away in disgust in the bottom picture. I think this one is 2005 and the above one is 2004. Obviously a lot of other damage was done, but those are the only three times I had it off the wheels.

I remember that, I was afraid you were gonna flip the truck over backwards, that was a farely steep incline you were on when you snapped the axle.
