Oh lord al,the stuff I've done....
Converted from 2wd to 4x4? Yeah the hard way by swapping
the crossmember.
Axle? 1997 D35 with the two-piston brakes and 4.10 gears
(no, not a hybred.)
Status? bleeding the brakes, other than that fini!
Also converted from a 2.9 to a 1993 4.0.
Status? complete as of today, but for a fuel system control problem, the EEC will NOT command the fuel pump on, though the pump will cycle as the key is switched. and yes, the engine will run (rather nicely) on starting fluid.
Also repaired (welded) the body mount brackets installed urethan body mount bushings and made my own 1" (yeah, ONE inch) body lift for both the cab and bed...
BTW, have I mentioned that I added a behind the axle fuel tank to the truck?
A 13gal ranger aux tank? No
a 23gal Bronco2 tank? No again...
I used the 19gallon PLASTIC (plastic doesn't rust) rear tank
from a 1991 F450 on my own fabricated crossmembers.
It's been fun, now if I can get the EEC to turn the fuel pump
relay on and get fuel into the engine (I am getting injector pulses
tested via "noid light") fuel into the engine I'll be happy....
