I was wondering if a 2wd tranny will work in a 4x4? only difference is it has a transfer case corect? Its a 1990 4.0L 5 speed if that makes a difference or helps you out in anyway. thanks

well, technically yes it would work, but you would loose the transfercase and you would need a 2wd driveshaft and then you would be 2wd only.
