lol....funny story, back when we had gone to pickup my old 79 f-150, we were just gonna flat tow it the short distance back to the house (like 10 mins) so i just made sure the trans was in neutral and figured the very short distance it would be fine....well this blazer that was doing the flat towing was really struggling wiht pulling the truck, so we get a few blocks away, and decide the k5 wasnt up to the task, well we pull it back and i come back the enxtday after paying a guy wiht a trailer to come and get it for me....well i get into it to move it, and itll only do like 5mph in 1st.....im like wtf....well, i realize then that someone never took the truck out of 4low, and had a custom shifter in the truck and i wasnt aware of that....it was in the standard 79 2hi position....so all in all we almost blew up the damn k5 cause the previous owner didnt know the truck was in 4low...

haha wow. Hopefully nothing got messed up.

i know man....that little smooth move on the PO part cost me $100 for the tow back to my town....

A little recommendation: if you flat tow anything that has a lever operated transfer case, Put the trans in PARK if it is auto, Reverse if it is stick. Put the transfer case in neutral. The transfer case will lubricate as normal and the trans will not be damaged.
