My wife and I visited the gardens at our local TV station in Raleigh this afternoon. The Azaeleas were at their peak.

Here is a slideshow of a few shots taken:

My wife & I used to go see them every year when we lived in Durham. They are something else to see. We miss the North Carolina State Fair most of all EXCEPT for all the traffic if you happen to go when Duke & UNC have their football game. Traffic is unreal on that day.

We lived & worked in the Raleigh-Durham area for many years before coming to Virginia.

Very Nice bob, You wouldn't have any pictures of forests would ya? Wouldn't mind having one as my background! I took just a few when i went to Jasper National Park up here in Canada in september thought they turned out pretty nice, considering i don't have a Digital SLR (wish i did)

these are not the full res pics, but they still look decent:

and my all time favorite:

Thanks for your post! Sorry, I don't have any forest photos. Thanks for sharing yours, they are beautiful!!!! Do you shoot with a 35MM SLR?
If it's a Nikon, your lenses will probably work on the Nikon DSLRs.
