Ive been looking at sub options for a bit now and where im tall and have the seat pushed as far back as possible, i was thinking i could mount a sub box for a 10" sub right between the shifter and the seat,. although the front seat probably wouldnt be able to slide forward in my 03 ext cab ranger with the 60/40 split. Anyone ever do this before?

Um you could try but your box will wither be WAY too small for your sub, or be way too big for you to even shift. I'd just mount it in behind the passenger seat with some kind of quick disconnect, or just only have 3 seats.

i drive the same way with the seat all the way back and there was enough room for my 15's behind the seat even before i pulled the jump seats.

That's what I did in my 88. I didn't realize it til afterward... my seat doesn't fold down.

Im 6' 5" and I don't have a problem sliding the seat all the way back either.

i luckily thought of the seat reclining before i built my box, mostly becuase my fiance would have been pissed cause she often sleeps while im driving. my seats now recline almost all the way becuase the box doesnt stick up or out more than the jump seats did make sure you measure all of of your cabs dimensions including seat posistion.

Took the jump seats out cause they are worthless with this box. But, this box, for one 10, will make the smaller enclosed subs cry.

And, I can scoot all the way back, and lean farther back than I can comfortably drive too.
