Could really use some help here. I'm in process of buying a 2000 Ranger 4X4 Extended cab XLT. The mileage stated is only 34,228 and the price is only $8500. The current owner said he bought it from some place that bought it at auction and that worries me a bit. It has a white instrument cluster that looks great but I haven't seen one on any other 2000. Is it possible that a new odometer was put in this truck? I tried doing a VIN # check with AutoCheck of Experian and was sent an auto reply that there was a system problem and they are only open M-F 8-5. The white cluster makes me wonder if it was in a crash. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

installing the Explorer white cluster is a common mod on '95+ Rangers since they are a bolt in swap.
