Would anybody know in what year, if ever, the last extended cab 4 cylinder Ranger was issued?
Also, can I improve the driving position by replacing the bench with regular split seats?
Thanks,
Pierre, Ranger rookie.

as far as i know thye were still making 2wd 4cyl extended cabs for some time.....also, ive never seen a extended cap with a bench in it, usually it was standard for them to come with the 60/40 split seat, and yes u can put buckets into it if thats what u mean and it will greatly imporve room and driver comford but at the sacrifice of losing a a middle seat.

According to Edmunds the 2wd was available like that through 2000 and the 4x4, never.

I've seen an 2003 extended cab with a 2.3 duratec, so I don't know how much I'd be trusting edmunds.

As far as I know, Ford built and still builds Ext Cab Rangers with the 4cyl engine. 1995 or 1996 was the last year thou for a 4cyl 4x4.
