low oil pressure

After starting it takes a few minutes for the oil pressure gauge to reach the middle (normal). The guage will slowly go from the low quarter of the gauge to the middle after about 5 minutes. Am I loosing pressure through a valve or is it the gauge - or is this noraml for 3.0's?

if its the stock gauge, i wouldnt trust it. put in a good after market set and see what it says.

i would be care full and maybe change the cps sensor read up below it may convince you.

Thanks a bunch for that. I think I'll be replacing the CPS. I'm getting a squealing and loss of power (unoften and quick). Got a 2 yr 24K mile warranty, wonder (since it has been recalled by Ford) if they will take care of it.
Anyone else had to replace the CPS?
