thats what im lookin at, 4.6 auto. would intake, exhaust, n chip bump it up or decrease it?
this one would be drivin like a baby.
i know i drive my ranger stupid somtimes, but the last tank of gas i drove like n old man lol and only got 17 mpg.
My dad just turned his 2006 in a couple of months back. He usually got around 18MPG on the highway, with (if I remember correct) about 14-16MPG in the city.
F-150 XLT 4X4
5.4L with auto trans and 3.73 gearing
extended cab short bed
I believe it was the 20 or 25 gallon fuel tank
it was all stock execpt for a Herculiner in the bed
My grandfather's 2006 is about the same:
F-150 4X4
5.4L with auto and 3.73 gearing
extended cab short bed
with a 35 gallon fuel tank
Here are some of my grandfathers mods:
wedge style cap
bull bar with other chrome pieces added (mirror trim, door handles, etc.)
evolution power programmer
He usually gets 12-14mpg in the city (he has a lead foot though) and has been getting about 19 mpg on the highway (unloaded). With our 6' x12' trailer loaded (approximatley 2000Lbs.) he gets about 8-13mpg on the highway.
Both of these have the towing package.
Hope this helps you a little.
