Too much rake????

I just had my rear leafs re-arched, I wasn't really looking for much lift just wanted to correct the typical Ranger sagging on the left side, well the guy calls me before doing the work and asked if I minded the truck having "a little rake to it", so I said no because that's probably the way it looked originally anyway. So my question to you all is, do you think there is too much rake now? I guess I could replace the front springs to compensate for it or just leave it alone.

My 96 supercab 4x4 sits the same exact way yours does. when its empty.....it feels like its putting to much weight on the front end. the coils feel like theyre bottoming out sometimes . i might just put front coils to compensate and see if that makes me happy. I say change it............they look funny with the back in the air like that unless you have some big fat slicks under it .
 
take a look at the rake on my truck. Completely stock, stock springs still. yours is ok, but I would check the alignment to make sure that the higher rear stance did not make the front sit lower and cause the camber to go too negative.

there is probably 12" between my fenders and the tops of the rear tires with the correct size tires(225/70/r14).

I have the exact same tire size. I think I will leave it alone. The guy who did the springs said they would settle a little, so that will be fine. Thanks for your input.
 
i have the exact same body style and it looked that way too after new leafs and springs. i'm dropping ti though with a 3/5 and it should even it out nicely. But if its a 4.0 with power....you can never have enough rake.
 
Doesnt look like too much rake, looks good, my 95 sits about the same. Also after being rearched they may sag/settle a little bit lower esp. if you add weight. Though mine rides better with 300-400LBS. in the bed, it slightly changes the camber and caster.
 
While its a little hard to tell since we don't have a full on side shot, I think it looks fine. Trucks come factory with a little rake and that doesn't look like too much.
 
it should settle a good inch when the springs break in, its fine
 
have a tail gater with some fat chicks. that otta help
 
hard to tell if the camera is crooked, or does it lean to the driverside?
 
I think I had the camera crooked, I'll take another full side shot outside of that stupid carport and post the results. BTW, it is 31 and 3/4 inches from the ground to the chrome strip at the top of the fender in the middle on both sides, so it is not leaning anymore.
