Will it work on a gen 3? Kit in this case happens to be an older Duff gen1 kit. Thanks.

Sorry, should have been more specific. 1993 Ranger extra cab.

It should work out ok. The only thing I can think of is that a GenIII is a little heavier than a GenI so the springs may feel a little soft. The pitman arm will be the same, if there were sway bar links and such those may be different between the two depending on the year. If it has radius arms there may be a little legnth difference between the D28 and the D35 but moving the brackets should solve that. That is all I can think of. You should be fine, my lift was from a 94 Ranger and it's on an 88.

It's a full kit less the rear parts and the pitman. I have some rears already and some four inch fronts and a drop pitman as well.

The length of the radius arms are the same. I ran some 1st gen arms on my '93 after I trashed a stock one. The only important difference is the shock mount location. IIRC the 1st gens is a bit lower.

AFAIK the coils should also be the same. Go to skyjacker.com, it lists the same part numbers for a '86 and a '93 4x4 complete lift.

since your truck is a little heavier you might consider duff 2wd bronco 2 coils they are a little taller and a little stiffer than their 4x4 spring for some reason, bucket height or something.i asked duff for a spring that would give my 91 a little more lift and thats what they gave me.
