WOW that looks real good. Now go wheel it. And then post those pictures.

wow real nice truck

ya im thinking about maybe getting an explorer down the road to make an offroad rig there nice trucks i think

Looking very tidy man, how is highway speed with the 5.13's?
Any special reason for the fuel cell? That has to be ticklish to fill.

Not too bad on highway gearing. 5.13s are pretty deep, but the 35s offset them pretty well. I probably couldn't cruise at 80MPH, but I don't want to take her over 65 anyway.

I have the fuel cell in the back in order to make room for my t-case doubler underneath. It also protects the tank from obstacles, gives me more working room underneath, and allows me to change the pump or filter in minutes. Filling is not a problem. Most of the fumes exit through the breather tube, and any remaining are gone from the cab in a minute or two. Tank is airtight and there is no fumes or leakage when I'm bouncing around on the trail. Just need to be careful not to spill when filling...

Looks good man.

I call shotgun when you get up here to wheel :D

why did you run your rear brake lines like you did?

You mean with the unnecessary turns? Too much line, had to take up some slack.

maybe its different on explorers... but on my ranger, the soft line comes down right in the middle of the axle, the block mounts to the top. then theres hard lines that go to either side. you have the t-block under the leaf on the passengers side

Yeah, it's different. The Explorer's have the soft line drop down on the driver's side. The soft line goes right into a junction that has a hose go to the driver's side caliper, and then there is a outlet to thread a line into that goes to the passenger side. I would rather have a center drop like the Ranger, as it had to deal with less articulation.

i see... and i just realized i said passengers side when i meant drivers side. where does your fuel cell vent exit through the body?

that's wierd. I got my rear axle from a 99ex and the junction block was on top of the diff. maybe cause it was newer I dunno.

the build is lookin good. should be fun this wheelin season. I remember when you first got that thing, lookin much better now :icon_thumby:
