Ok, so my truck (88 B2 w/ 2.9) has had problems with both engine and trans, not big, but still woudnt like to worry about them. I have access to a wrecked donor 95 explorer with the 4.0 and perfect drivetrain. I know that the wiring changed in 95, and read that it still is a drop in type installation. But how bad is the wiring for this application? Has anyone done it that would like to chime in? Thanks.

I know people have posted thoughts and information on this in the past. If you do some digging you may find it. If I remember right, it is not an easy swap and will entail some difficult modifications. The easiest route to go would to find a 4.0 out of a 91-94 donor vehicle.
