most tow bars are of the universal type:

Stegoman, you will not be able to use a universal towbar on the car. Universal bars are made to bolt onto steel bumpers with a frame horn behind it. The newer cars usually don't have a sliver of steel anywhere near the bumper.

You will need to buy a baseplate that is made specifically for your make and model and then a towbar. Check out www.Blueox.com

I sell these things daily working for an RV dealer so feel free to ask me any questions.

hey Jspafford, how much would a towbar and baseplate run on average? I'm just curious, I may get one for my BII so I can flat-tow with my car when I'm going to a farther-away trail ride...

actually almost every newer car that has a plastic bumper has a steel bumper (more of a crossmember really) behind it. without it you would get slaughtered in a front-end collision.
