Just wondering how much it would take to make this work...

I can get my hands on a full-size Bronco (86) donor that has everything but the tranny for $800. My main priority would be the axles and the transfer case (BW 1345). I know in the tech library there's stuff about the early Bronco axles, but what about the later ones?

Only problem is they'd be going into a 2WD 97 B4000 so I guess I'd have to go with a divorced t-case, but as far as the axles...?

I could put this in with the 'other axles' forum but as far as what all would be involved to make the suspension work out. Just another SAS-type but more involved?

In 1980 Ford used the Dana44 TTB in the Bronco IIRC.
Not worth the effort

1345?

I think those trucks came with 1356s and there is no such thing as a 1345.

Basically all you will get out of this bronco would be a full width 8.8" axle.

Um, I'm not quite sure what I was thinking last night when I asked about this. Because I know the only useful thing would be the 8.8. And I've already got an 8.8. And it works just fine. :icon_confused:

I apologize for that; I won't do anymore posting after having been doing what it was I was doing before posting. This thread can go. Or it can stick around for the get-a-load-of-this-guy factor.
