Hey Guys
I have a 2002 Ranger 4wd that has 74000 mi. I have cranked the front torsion bars about 1 1/2” and added a slightly larger shackles to fit 265/75 16 under it (at about 20,000mi). I have noticed that whenever I go around curve I am hearing a slight ticking sound, it is more noticeable at slower speeds. I have looked in the wheel wells and I don’t see the tire hitting on anything. Does this sound like the bearings need pack?????
Thanks
David

Sounds like a CV shaft...

Either you've reached its limits or it's worn out.

Is it common for the CV joints to go out at 70000 mi?? Is there any way to tell which one has the problem?
Thanks
David

Articulate it.

It's possible your screwing with the front suspension might have something to do with it....

The ticking I'm sure are your CV joints. Mine went bad at about 80K. Cranking the bars will cause the joints to wear faster because of the increased angle of the drivelines. But I would check for CV boot tears. It's not uncommon for that to happen and it would definitely help narrow your problem down unless of course you have tears on each side.
