brake/ clutch pedal assmbly

i have a 97 ford ranger and the brake pedal and clutch pedal just broke off is this a common problem? i swear it is one thing after another. any thoughts would be helpful
 
sounds like you have been hitting the pedals too hard.....go grab yourself another assembly out of a newer Ranger....the brackets are much stronger on those......
