Extended Radius Arm Drop Bracket Location

What method is used to determine the location of the bracketry for extended radius arms?

I've got arms off a 79 Bronco that measure roughly a yard. (I can't find my tape measure)

I know on the Bronco applications the brackets were bolted to the transmission x-member, but these along with the HP Dana44 are going into my ZJ and I'm lost.

Any help would be fantastic!

Center the wheel in the fender and then attatch the arms.

Not a direct answer......but,

On my '83 Ranger the brackets for the Skyjacker arms didn't line up with ANY holes on the frame so I had to drill new ones. I centered the lower coil mount on the axle directly under the coil bucket and then looked to see where the brackets needed to mount on the frame. You need to remember that when the radius arms are tightened in to the mounting brackets it sucks the radius arm back a little.

Thanks guys. Sounds like I've got a general gist.

I'm thinking of putting the ZJ's weight on the coils again to see where it shoudl be under normal compression, then making the marks.

New question arose today:

I've got 4 degree bushings (came with the lift on the bronco when I bought it)

Will I be fine with the 4 degree bushings with 6.5" of lift (For starters)?

ALSO:

Any tips on adjusting radius arms to different chassis? I feel like a dumbass right now. I'll admit it. I need to adjust the radius arms to a different width and it seems impossible right now, but I know it can be done. Whats teh deal? Help??
