So i opened the container for the rad coolant and its all dark and murky. What the heck does this mean?
Thanks
The overflow is full of old gunk.
Open the rad cap (cold!) and see if it looks the same. If it's oil-fouled, that's a hint of a somewhat rare head gasket failure. If it's rusty, drain and refill. If it's bright and green, clean out your overflow container.

check your oil to see what colour it is. If it is like chocolate milk that may point you head or intake failure

What does the under side of the oil fill cap look like? If it's a milky color its either short drives building up condensation or a head gasket. Also look at the intake, check the bolts and make sure they are tight.
