I got a stock 2006 Mazda B2300 ridin' on 20's. A guy I work with has the same truck except his is a 2003. He went with a 3" drop from a local custom shop. I went to see what they offered and found out that after 2004 there is nothing out there for these trucks. I've been kinda looking around on the site and have gotten some ideas... but I'm still not sre on how to lower my truck. I'd love to hear some opinions.

DJM make a 4/5 drop kit that will work just fine for your Truck. When you are searching/looking for a drop kit... Look for a Ford Ranger, and any thing from 98 and up will work on your truck.

I live in atlanta known for its potholes. i have a 45 series tire right now and have already had to replace 2 from pot holes. will i have to go to a 40 or maybe a 35 or can i keep the ones i have without scrubbin?

dont forget the spidals changed on certian years, cant rember the breaks right off hand.

you can swap spindals and brakes to MAKE it work

Brake and spindles changed back in 95, And I believe they only changed the way they mounted. However in 98 they changed the suspension to a control arm front end, and thus the info about brakes changes is nothing to worry about for him.

As far as your tire size you should be able to get away with a 45 sersies, depending or your rim size. I ran 225/45/zr17 up front with no problems.

Just amke sure you get a good set of lowering shocks to help out with your ride quality and I would even recomend a bolt in C- notch to help out in the rear.

With this 4/5 drop how much cutting and welding is there? Or is this something thats not that hard to do?

With the 4/5 drop it is all bolt in. You can do it all in your drive way with all you basic tools.

I wouldnt be so sure about that. I know they made some changes in the A'arm years too. just not a a-arm guy. but I do know they made some changes here and there.

Only change was the difference between the EDGE/SPORT packages which had torsion bars.

As far as the Control arms go, nothing has changed. I have seen several 06-newer trucks with the DJM arms.
