Just curoius, as a junior member, what goes on in the Premium Member Lounge? Is it like the VIP room? Is worth stickin' around for, and do I gotta pay extra for that? :icon_bounceblue:
 
All the ads and donations, do they help offset the cost of running the site, or does it generate profit?
 
The premium lounge is for paid members. $10 is not much to find out what goes on in there.
 
Much respect for Jim and everyone else here, but that $10, will it help to offset the cost and take less out of the owners' paychecks, or does the website already break even or generate a profit as it is?

i know it doesnt make much profit, if any at all... the $10 does help pay for software and whatever.
 
If you stop and think what it takes to run a forum this size you'll realize that most of the staff is working voluntarily. Your $10 isn't going to fatten anybodies wallet, The first time for me it was $15 and I don't understand how that was enough.
You also get a COOL sticker for your truck. Among other thing. There is a sticky somewhere that shows all the benefits, yes it is well worth the $10.
 
The info you get here is worth the $10. Anything you need to know about repair, upgrading and maintenance for your RBV can be found here. If this site was not here how much would it cost to find how to fix your truck. So yeah, it's worth $10 to help keep the site going. Plus the decal you get can add 10 hp. Haven't gotten mine yet, but can hardly wait to put it on my Bll.
 
Completely worth it. With all the changes that have happened around here, you should be glad TRS is even here today. The $10 that you pay for the free information here just halps to spport the site. I highly doubt that Jim turns a profit, and if he does, so what. I guarentee you that he has been paying out of pocket long enough that it will be a long while before he actually sees a benefit. And your premium membership pays for a lot more. If you want to upgrade your truck, and your a premium member, Jim will often times cut you a small break on his already dirt cheap prices at TRS Fab & Offroad. And I honestly believe that the $10 is more or less the cost of the sticker and shiping to your house.
 
Ten bucks is dirt cheap for all the info here and is definitely worth it, but whether it's worth it wasn't my question. I was just curious where the money goes and how much a site like this costs to run.

Also, where is the link to join as a premium member?

but seriously, its worth the ten bucks. and if you dont wanna fork over that much cash, you can get a one month membership for a buck.
 
I have zero regrets about getting mine. (the sticker makes it even better)
 
Yup...completely worth it....

I went to the Meet and greet in Parma last year. Lots of great people on here, and this is a good way to bounce an idea or two off of someone.

I want to give some more $$$ here sometime...right now it isn't working too good....Maple season has sucked thusfar. For all of the crap that went on this year...Jim more than deserves it.
