2WD to 4WD 1992 3.0L

I'm just kicking around the idea of converting my 92 standard cab, longbed ranger with 3.0L, from 2WD, to 4WD, i was just wondering what all it would take to get this done? was also thinking about going to a 4.0, but wiht gas prices now would like to keep the 3.0.

is has not gotten any easier since the last guy asked this question about 7 post down.

if you doing a motor swap allready is not "a whole lot more work"...but to just swap in 4wd its alot of work, you have to swap the engine crossmember.
