My stock 87 Xtracab with 235/75R15s on 15x6" stock offset alloy wheels are rubbing the inner fender at the front bottom corners. The right side has rubbed a hole through the plastic inner fender. I'm not going to lift this truck, it's my daily driver and gets wheeled medium hard.

I'm thinking about cutting off the front part of my fenders right below the lower valance to fender bolts (there are two bolts per side that hold the valance to the fenders. The rear edge of the cut would get the same radius that is currently on my stock fender so that it looks good.

I would also (of course :) ) cut my inner fenders the same or slightly higher, drill new holes in the fenders for the tiny screws that hold the inner and outer fender together. That will help support the metal outer fender and keep things from rattling.

So what do you think?

if it is rubbing only the inner fender just cut it i had to do the same on my b2 with 30s
