View Full Version : a good antenna

anyone know a good antenna to hook up to a Cobra 29 LTD CB radio, mine just came in the mail, so now i need a good antenna (under $50.00)
as long as i get over 2miles of good reception ill be happy, ill be even happier if i get over 3 miles.:headbang:

personally I would go with a Wilson 1000, although it costs a little more than you said you want to spend it is about the best performing CB antenna I have found and it is very flexible so if you smack it on a tree or something it wont hurt it.

Good advice. Wilson makes some good antennas. I would rather pay a little more up front and have better range myself as well. If you set it up right you should get more then 3 miles out. Incidentally mkyhmltn, is the 1000 the magnetic model or a bolt on?
