Anyone have a ground wire diagram or know the locations of the ground wires... including the small braided straps? I have been having problems with the charging system. I replaced the alternator twice this past week. I decided to check fuses and grounds yesterday. I found that the alternator fuse in the engine fuse box was blown. I want to get into it this weekend and check that all the grounds are secure, connected, and in the proper place. The engine has been replaced twice and maybe I forgot a ground somewhere or put a ground in a wrong location.

should have ground strap from firewall to back of motor, on some vehicles i've seen them on the neg side of battery to the fender well. as long as you ground battery to motor-motor to body-body to frame you should be o.k. be sure you don't have any "hot" leads that can contact a ground

Thank you. I'll be sure and check to see if I have the proper grounds.

This stuff is all in the EVTM. I'd trust a primary source better than anyone's memory.

But a bad ground IS NOT blowing fuses. No way. You're looking for a SHORT to ground.

Grounds are simple, If you think it needs one, just add It, you can never have too many!! Greg
